let me guess, you're thinking "we're awkward in front of the camera & there's no way our photos will look like the straight up models on this page!" but i can assure you that each of them felt the same way (we all do!) i will pose you, give fun prompts, + make you forget you're even having your photo taken, so we make genuine memories for you to look back on forever.

to add on a 20 page custom hardback photo book to any session is +$100.
after shooting over 200 wedding days and "retiring" from the mainstream wedding industry, i've made the shift to focusing solely on elopements. each elopement day is completely unique because it's exactly what you & your person want. because of this, elopement packages are extremely customizable. my base package for elopements is $900 and includes up to 2 hours of coverage, an edited copy of all usable photos, a copyright release, and travel within two hours. this base package is great if you're looking to go on an adventure to say "i do!" and capture memories along the way. however, if you're planning more of a micro wedding and would also like family photos, getting ready, etc we can absolutely create something more customized to your needs. i have photographed many elopements in state and internationally, so i'm more than happy to lend an ear and help get the plan in place!

the best time for your baby's session is typically 7-10 days after birth. newborn sessions include up to 2 hours (i know this sounds like a long time, but i like to allow for a laid back atmosphere + have time to change, comfort, + feed baby as needed.)
i provide studio access, unless you prefer the session done in-home in which case i'm happy to travel to you! i also have lots of wraps, baskets, + accessories available for use during your session. newborn sessions typically result in 50-70 edited images. parent involvement in the photos is encouraged, but if you'd like the focus to mainly be on your little one that's fine too!

i like to say that you get an edited copy of all "usable" photos! this means i'm not throwing any photos out that you'd like to have, just to stick to a quoted number of images. i give several variations of each pose, and i'm a big time over-shooter, so you'll often get more than the minimum number quoted with your session or wedding!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY SHOOT?
most importantly, you should wear something that is comfortable and true to your style! colorwise, neutrals are the BEST! you can't go wrong with black, white, cream, brown, + warm, earthy tones. vivid colors and busy patterns do tend to look distorted when edited. i also offer a client closet with dresses + rompers, free of charge to my clients!
WHAT ARE YOUR TRAVEL FEES?
i love nothing more than to travel! whether it's up the road or across the country! for sessions within a 2 hour radius, my fees range from $40-$100 typically.
for destination locations, i keep my travel fees at-cost. feel free to reach out with the destination you have in mind to get a quote. i do some research and only charge for the cost of: my roundtrip plane ticket, two nights of stay (before/after your session or wedding), and rental car. this makes my travel fees pretty low cost, so if you're feeling intimated by the thought of travel fees- let's chat!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO reschedule?
life happens! i am very flexible when it comes to cancellation + reschedules. if something comes up on your end, please just let me know as soon as possible and we will find a new date that works for you!
WHAT IF THERE'S BAD WEATHER?
no rain on your parade! we all know the seasons can change in a minute here! if it is too cold, hot, or rainy, we have lots of options. as an ABP client, you have access to my studio space (golden light studio) if you prefer to switch your session indoors, or if your heart is set on that outdoor location, i'm happy to find a reschedule date. living in georgia, i've learned to keep some open space on the calendar for reschedules from inclement weather!
Where should we take our photos?
i have a variety of local spots perfect for clients in the west georgia area, including my own indoor studio space (golden light studio)! as we nail down details for your session, i will send sample photos of locations for you to choose from. i'm also always down to go to a spot that's special to you, or travel (see question three for more details on travel fees!)
when will i receive my photos?
for sessions, my typical turn around time is next day for sneak peeks and two weeks on the full album. we offer an expedited 3 day delivery option for an additional $40.
for weddings and elopements, my turn around time is next day for sneak peeks and approximately 6 weeks from your date. a firm delivery date will be established on your wedding contract!
HOW DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT?
i accept cash, check made out to Ashlee Burgess Photography, or Venmo for all payments.
for sessions, payment is due at the time of the session.
for weddings, a $300 deposit (that applies to your total cost) is required with all packages to reserve your date. a payment plan is established on your contract, from the time of booking to your final delivery date.
do you back up your photos?
YES! at your session or wedding, i shoot onto two cards simultaneously so there's always an extra copy. as soon as i get home, i store the photos in three places (my computer, hard drive, and online) in addition to keeping the cards until your session or wedding is delivered, so your photos are always safe with me!
do you provide unedited/raw photos?
the magic isn't complete until i've taken your photos from start to finish! for this reason, i don't ever deliver unedited or raw photos. i take great care in hand editing each photo to bring the moment to life - i never just pop on a "filter" and export. when booking a photographer, it's important for your vision to align with their artistic style.
